The billboard was served across a large number of ad networks, both on it's own and as part of Homepage Takeovers. Ad networks used included The Guardian, Telegraph, w00t! and Vice.

I also designed the website, which had looped video backgrounds, and HTML5 trailer embedded. The design for the site, as with the ad campaign, was based on the beautiful main artwork for the film.

The Double Campaign

The Double

When creating the website I wanted to reflect the amazing, claustrophobic production design of the film. Using the teaser poster artwork, and inspired by another film "Dark City", I animated segments of the city scape, revealing the title treatment and showing the city as the setting and almost as a character of the film.

The website was to be mainly used for showing clips and trailers to raise interest. I used the binoculars motif from the film with animated gifs as a mechanism for the user to 'spy' on different parts of the film. The filmmaker liked the functionality of the website and requested the same design to be used as the menu for the DVD & Blu-Ray release.
